EUR/USD : ? ?The euro edged lower on Friday as investors assessed the potential economic and market implications of the Democrats' victory in the US midterm elections. Concerns over tighter regulatory scrutiny of the technology sector have clouded the outlook for AI investment and data centre expansion, although analysts believe existing orders are unlikely to be affected in the near term.Meanwhile, expectations have increased that the election outcome could accelerate efforts to end the Iran conflict, easing geopolitical risks and energy market uncertainty. Investors are alsassessing the possibility of greater fiscal restraint in the US and reduced support for policies targeting sectors such as European banks and clean energy, adding to uncertainty across global markets. Immediate resistance can be seen at 1.1242 (Daily high), an upside break can trigger rise towards 1.1291(38.2%fib).On the downside, immediate support is seen at 1.1118(23.6%fib), a break below could take the pair towards 1.1102(Lower BB).

GBP/USD: The pound slipped lower on Friday as dollar firmed on  safe-haven demand after a selloff in AI stocks worldwide, though lower Treasury yields capped gains ahead of a closely watched US payrolls report. Currencies are swaying to the tune of the share and bond markets, analysts said, as investors take stock of the Democrats' victory in the US midterm elections and what that means for the AI trade, tariffs and the US-Israeli war with Iran . The dollar index , which measures the greenback against six peers, was up 0.25% at 101.76.The sterling   was last down 0.2%at $1.3433. His remarks underscore the difficult balance facing policymakers as persistent inflationary pressures complicate the economic outlook.Markets are now increasingly pricing in an extended pause, with the RBA expected to keep its cash rate unchanged at least until its June 22, 2027 monetary policy meeting.Immediate resistance can be seen at 0.7045(Higher BB), an upside break can trigger rise towards 0.7058(50%fib).On the downside, immediate support is seen at 0.6986 (38.2% fib), a break below could take the pair towards 0.6977(Lower BB)
