EUR/USD : The euro edged higher against the US dollar on Friday as fading expectations for a Federal Reserve rate hike and lingering concerns about an AI-driven equity selloff weighed on dollar.Hotter-than-expected consumer and producer price readings initially rattled markets this week, but comments from Fed officials signaling no urgency to tighten policy further helped stabilize Treasury yields and eroded support for the dollar. At the IMF-World Bank annual meetings in Bangkok on Friday, Fed Chair Kevin Warshoffered no clues about future rate decisions, saying he does not "prejudge meetings."Fiscal risks in France remained in the background after the jump in the French debt risk premium in early October.Immediate resistance can be seen at 1.1281(38.2%fib), an upside break can trigger rise towards 1.1404(50%fib).On the downside, immediate support is seen at 1.1122(38.2%fib), a break below could take the pair towards 1.1056(Lower BB).
GBP/USD: The pound climbed to its highest level against the US dollar in more than three weeks on Friday as investors focused on the Bank of England's rate path amid concerns that rising yields could hurt economic growth.Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey said on Friday that soaring energy prices had so far had a limited impact on broader UK inflation, but cautioned that it was too early to assess the scale of potential second-round effects.Last month, Bailey joined the 6-3 majority on the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee that voted to keep interest rates unchanged at 3.75%. However, he warned that monetary policy might need to tighten if the risk of second-round inflation effects increased.Andrew Bailey said the UK economy was proving more resilient than previously expected, particularly after August GDP data released on Thursday showed the fastest annual growth since October 2022. Immediate resistance can be seen at 1.3372(Higher BB ), an upside break can trigger rise towards 1.3408(50%fib).On the downside, immediate support is seen at 1.3281(38.2%fib), a break below could take the pair towards1.3259(SMA20).
USD/CAD : The Canadian dollar strengthened against the US dollar on Friday, supported by rising oil prices and broad-based US dollar weakness. Brent crude futures climbed 0.85% to $106.83 a barrel and were on track for a second consecutive weekly gain amid concerns over potential supply disruptions in the Middle East.Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem said Canada had yet to raise interest rates but warned that the longer energy prices remain elevated, the more difficult it would become to maintain the current policy stance. The BoC is expected to leave interest rates unchanged at its October 28 meeting, while money markets are pricing in a 25-basis-point rate hike in December.Meanwhile, Canadian home sales declined for a second consecutive month in September as higher mortgage rates and expectations of a potential BoC rate hike weighed on housing market activity, according to the Canadian Real Estate Association. Immediate resistance can be seen at 1.4193(SMA20), an upside break can trigger rise towards 1.4280 (23.6%fib).On the downside, immediate support is seen at 1.4137 (38.2%fib), a break below could take the pair towards 1.4020 (50%fib).

G20 finance leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to exchange-rate policy during meetings held on the sidelines of the IMF’s annual meetings in Bangkok. The yen’s persistent weakness has increased the likelihood of official intervention, particularly as elevated energy prices stemming from the Middle East conflict raise Japan’s import costs and place additional pressure on its economy..
