EUR/USD : ? ?The euro edged lower against the U.S. dollar on Tuesday ? as investors weighed uncertainty over US-Iran tensions and US midterm elections. US midterm elections remain in focus, with polls and non-partisan ?analysts suggesting Democrats could retake the House of Representatives, while control of the Senate remains uncertain. Investors are also watching the Gulf, where diplomatic efforts ?to prevent a renewed escalation in conflict after the US elections have helped push oil prices lower and weighed on the dollar in recent days. Immediate resistance can be seen at 1.1209 (Daily high), an upside break can trigger rise towards 1.1246(38.2%fib).On the downside, immediate support is seen at 1.1130(Lower BB), a break below could take the pair towards 1.1102(23.6%fib).
GBP/USD: The pound edged lower against the U.S. dollar on Tuesday as rising oil prices dampened risk sentiment, with investors positioning ahead of the U.S. midterm elections and this week's Bank of England (BoE) policy decision. Markets are closely watching the midterm elections, with expectations of strong Democratic gains potentially influencing global financial markets.Oil prices rebounded more than 1.5% after plunging 7% on Monday, following comments from an Iranian official that a deal to end the war remained distant. Renewed strength in crude prices has heightened inflation concerns, prompting several central banks to tighten monetary policy. The BoE is widely expected to raise interest rates by 25 basis points on Thursday.Immediate resistance can be seen at 1.3420(Daily high), an upside break can trigger rise towards 1.34209(Oct 22nd high). On the downside, immediate support is seen at 1.3292(38.2%fib), a break below could take the pair towards1.3282 (Lower BB).
AUD/USD: The Australian dollar declined on Tuesday even after the Reserve Bank of Australia delivered an expected interest rate increase, as investors focused on the central bank's softer policy guidance and recognition that previous rate hikes had tightened financial conditions. The RBA increased its cash rate by 25 basis points to 4.85% in November, reaffirming its determination to bring inflation back to target. However, policymakers removed their previous warning that further rate increases could be necessary. The central bank has now raised borrowing costs by a cumulative 125 basis points this year, reversing the 75 basis points of rate cuts implemented in 2025.The shift in guidance was interpreted as less hawkish than expected, triggering selling pressure on the Australian dollar and strengthening expectations that the RBA will keep rates unchanged next month.Immediate resistance can be seen at 0.7045(Higher BB), an upside break can trigger rise towards 0.7058(50%fib).On the downside, immediate support is seen at 0.6986 (38.2% fib), a break below could take the pair towards 0.6977(Lower BB)
USD /JPY : The U.S. dollar edged higher on Tuesday as the Japanese yen underperformed its major peers despite growing expectations of further monetary tightening by the Bank of Japan (BoJ). Governor Kazuo Ueda has effectively signalled a December rate hike, although investors remain uncertain about the pace of further tightening as interest rates approach neutral territory, an unfamiliar environment following decades of ultra-loose monetary policy.Last week, the BoJ declared victory in its 14-year effort to achieve its inflation target and highlighted a shift in policy focus towards preventing inflation from overshooting, reinforcing its hawkish stance. Ueda said the central bank had opted to delay a rate hike to assess economic and price developments "a bit more," echoing similar comments made in July before the BoJ raised rates in September.Immediate resistance can be seen at 158.00(Psychological level), an upside break can trigger rise towards 158.48(50%fib).On the downside, immediate support is seen at 157.05(Lower BB) a break below could take the pair towards 156.53(61.8%fib).
