Australia’s third-quarter export prices rose 1.4%, accelerating from the previous quarter's 1.1% increase. Meanwhile, import prices fell 1.1%, reversing the previous quarter's sharp 5.7% rise. The decline in import prices could help ease some imported inflationary pressures, although broader inflation trends remain a key concern for policymakers. On Friday, market participants will also closely monitor Tokyo’s October Consumer Price Index (CPI) data, which is scheduled for release ahead of the Bank of Japan’s monetary policy decision. The core Tokyo CPI, which excludes fresh food prices, will be particularly important in assessing the persistence of underlying inflationary pressures in Japan.Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda is expected to maintain a cautious tone at the post-meeting press conference.
