EUR/USD : The euro strengthened  against the U.S. dollar on Thursday  after the Treasury Department moved to calm a bond market selloff that had pushed long-end yields to their highest level since 2007.The Treasury said Wednesday it would double the size of its buybacks of 10- to 30-year debt to at least $4 billion per operation, an attempt to steady a market that had been rattled by concerns over the growing U.S. fiscal deficit. The announcement triggered a sharp selloff in the U.S. currency as traders worried about a worsening fiscal picture and potentially higher inflation, boosting gold and bitcoin in what some call the "debasement trade.". Immediate resistance can be seen at 1.1707(Higher BB), an upside break can trigger rise towards 1.1743(23.6%fib).On the downside, immediate support is seen at 1.1640(38.2%fib), a break below could take the pair towards 1.1556(50%fib).

GBP/USD: The British pound rose ?to a six-month high against a stuttering dollar on Thursday, a day after the U.S. ‌Treasury took a surprise measure to arrest a rise in long-term borrowing costs. The U.S. Treasury announced it would at least double the size of buybacks ?of longer-dated Treasury securities, sending the 30-year yield sharply lower after it had risen ?to its highest since 2007 earlier in the week.On the data front, Annual inflation rose to a four-month high ?in July, data showed on Wednesday, although labour market data earlier in the week showed signs of a cooling employment picture . Money-market traders still expect the BoE to raise borrowing costs once by the end ?of the year, while a second quarter-point rate rise is fully priced in by ?April next ?year. Immediate resistance can be seen at 1.3651(23.6%fib), an upside break can trigger rise towards 1.3687(Higher BB).On the downside, immediate support is seen at 1.3557(38.2%fib), a break below could take the pair towards1.3480(50%fib).

AUD/USD: The Australian dollar edged lower on Thursday  as weakner dollar offset downbeat Australian employment data. Dollar weakened after the Treasury Department moved to calm a bond market selloff that had pushed long-end yields to their highest level since 2007. Australia’s July employment report showed an unexpected decline in jobs. Australian employment unexpectedly fell in July, while the unemployment rate rose to its highest level since late 2021, pointing to a cooling labour market and reducing pressure on the Reserve Bank of Australia to raise interest rates again. Australian Bureau of Statistics data showed employment fell by 15,800 in July, following a revised 80,300 increase in June and missing forecasts for a 15,000 gain. However, full-time employment rose by 16,300.The unemployment rate edged up to 4.5%, above the 4.4% forecast and already matching the Reserve Bank of Australia’s year-end projection. Immediate resistance can be seen at 0.7143(50%fib), an upside break can trigger rise towards 0.7169(Higher BB).On the downside, immediate support is seen at 0.7080 (38.2%fib), a break below could take the pair towards 07044(SMA 20)

USD/JPY:  The U.S. dollar edged higher  on Thursday after data showed   Japan trade deficit widened  in July.Japan’s trade deficit widened in July as imports surged, while the government said it expects to secure nearly all of its usual monthly crude oil supplies without routing tankers through the Strait of Hormuz.Japan’s trade deficit widened sharply to JPY 634.5 billion in July 2026 from JPY 156.3 billion a year earlier, but remained below the JPY 680 billion market forecast. It marked the third consecutive month of deficit and the largest since January, as imports rose faster than exports. Imports jumped 27.8% year-on-year to a record JPY 12,146.3 billion in July, accelerating from a 25.4% increase in June.. Immediate resistance can be seen at 160.20 (SMA 20), an upside break can trigger rise towards 160.67(50%fib).On the downside, immediate support is seen at  158.62(Aug 14th low) a break below could take the pair towards 157.63 (38.2%fib).
