Currency Forecast

EUR/USD : The euro edged lower  on Thursday  as the rally triggered by the Federal Reserve’s policy decision lost momentum during Asian trading. The pair had gained support from a weaker dollar after the Fed kept interest rates unchanged, but investors remained cautious ahead of fresh Eurozone economic data.Market focus now shifts to the Eurozone’s Q2 flash GDP release, with economists surveyed by Reuters expecting the economy to expand 0.2% quarter-on-quarter and 0.5% year-on-year. The data will provide fresh clues on the region’s growth outlook and could influence expectations for the European Central Bank’s future policy path.Investors are also awaiting Eurozone July consumer confidence figures and June unemployment data, with the jobless rate expected to remain at 6.2%. Stronger-than-expected readings could support the euro by reinforcing expectations of economic resilience, while weaker figures may weigh on sentiment.. Immediate resistance can be seen at 1.1414(SMA 20), an upside break can trigger rise towards 1.1447(38.2%fib).On the downside, immediate support is seen at 1.1363(23.6%fib), a break below could take the pair towards 1.1342(Lower BB).

GBP/USD  : Sterling eased  against the dollar on Thursday   as market participants  awaited Bank of England's policy decision later on Thursday . The Bank of ?England looks set to keep interest rates steady on Thursday as it weighs the impact of the on-again, off-again Iran war that has ‌closed the Strait of Hormuz for the past five months and intensified inflation pressures.Unlike the European Central Bank, which raised rates in June, Governor Andrew Bailey has said the BoE's signal back in March that previously expected cuts to borrowing costs were off the table due to the war is likely to keep inflation in check.Last month, the BoE lowered its forecast for ?peak inflation this year to just over 3.25% from a prediction in April of 3.6%-3.7% in two of its three scenarios for energy prices and inflation persistence. Immediate resistance can be seen at 1.3376(50%fib), an upside break can trigger rise towards 1.3376 (61.8%fib).On the downside, immediate support is seen at 1.3272(38.2%fib), a break below could take the pair towards1.3222(Lower BB).

AUD/USD: The Australian dollar weakened on Thursday as market digested after the Federal Reserve’s policy decision and awaited fresh catalyst. The Fed kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged, but three policymakers dissented in favor of a 25-basis-point hike, highlighting ongoing concerns over persistent inflation. Risk sentiment also came under pressure after U.S. President Donald Trump vowed retaliation following a surprise Iranian attack, fueling fears of a wider escalation in Middle East tensions. Meanwhile, Australian data showed building approvals rose 8.9% year-on-year in June, up from 5.3% in May, pointing to improving momentum in the housing sector and a continued recovery in residential construction activity. Immediate resistance can be seen at 0.7026 (Higher BB), an upside break can trigger rise towards 0.7000(Psychological level). On the downside, immediate support is seen at 0.6969(38.2%fib), a break below could take the pair towards 0.6913(July 17th low).

USD/JPY:  The U.S. dollar  edged higher  on Thursday   as market digested Fed rate decision and awaited Bank of Japan's policy decision on Friday. The Fed kept its benchmark rate in the 3.50%-3.75% range, although three of the 12 FOMC members dissented in favor of a 25-basis-point rate hike, highlighting divisions within the committee. Attention now shifts to the Bank of Japan's policy decision on Friday, where markets broadly expect the central bank to keep rates unchanged while maintaining a relatively hawkish tone on the inflation outlook. The Bank of Japan is expected to leave its policy rate unchanged at 1.0% on Friday after raising rates in June. The meeting will also be the first for board member Ayano Sato, who joined on June 30. Immediate resistance can be seen at 163.99 (23.6%fib) an upside break can trigger rise towards 164.44(Hiigher BB) .On the downside, immediate support is seen at  163.42(July 27th low)  a break below could take the pair towards 162.50(SMA20).
